[Review] Burberry Sheer Luminous Pressed Powder

Look what the cat dragged in! (⊙v⊙)/~~

Today I am going to share my review on Burberry Sheer Luminous Pressed Powder in No.1 Porcelain (color and shade). This product was kindly given for review purpose.

Burberry Sheer Luminous Pressed Powder (No.1 Porcelain)

Talk about Burberry, majority of you guys heard about this brand. Their signature tartan/plaid iconic design, along with the Burberry Equestrian Knight Logo. Honestly, I haven’t tried any of the Burberry makeup line but I have been really impressed with it.

A nice design always be the attention grabber. Every human bought something always based on packaging design first. If your friend or whatever saying no?! Then they must be lying to you and themselves too.

Not to mention, as you can see the packaging of this product is absolutely gorgeous. I am such a sucker of nice packaging of design. From outside to inside, Burberry Sheer Luminous Pressed Powder doesn't disappointing me. This compact case really highlights the classiness and iconic of the brand, Burberry; plus inside came with the symbolize pattern pressed on the powder. This is the kind of compact that every girls want to be seen in public.

Other than that, this compact powder comes in a velvet pouch with a full-size mirror inside with little brush. (Err... sorry. Now I only notice I didn't take the brush picture).

Packaging Design #1

Packaging Design #2

As I mentioned before, the powder comes with the symbolize pattern pressed on it. I am falling in love on how detail of Burberry Packaging Designer created; makes every girls and woman scream of it.

Okay, enough with that. Let's move to texture part.

The powder is ultra-fine and smooth. This is the finest powder ever I have touched. It's very soft and creates a natural sheer and dewy look but with matte finish. I also love the scent of this powder; doesn't feel of strong fragrance and it's reminds me on some Burberry perfume.

Using finger is the best way to show the texture than a face because face is hard to tell the story.

As you can see in the picture below, the powder is ultra-fine and smooth and it looks very soft too. It's give me an illusion of baby powder. I think most of you guys use baby powder before right? It does exactly like how you feel of baby powder. I think this is the best way to describe the texture of this compact.

Texture when on my finger

After blended.
That's why I said finger did the best job because you still can see how well the powder after blended on finger's lines.

My face after using Burberry Sheer Luminous Pressed Powder.
Non-cakey and traceless. Natural sheer and silky finishing touch.

Let's summarize this product:

What I think?
The first word said when I get this product, "Gorgeous!!". I really love the packaging design. The packaging design is simple, classy and 'Burberry'; stands out the brand itself and explore more in the product. I love when it does also comes with a velvet pouch and a really soft brush but my personally prefer using professional brush. This compact powder is slightly heavier because it has a magnetic closure but this doesn't affect anything. *just saying

Perhaps you may questionnaire with me because I seem like love this brand (I did) but I am clearly awake when reviewing and writing this post. Do not worry!! *peace

Let's talk about texture. Ultra-fine, soft and smooth. The best way to describes. The scent of this powder was like one of the fragrance of Burberry (my personal opinion) but with a very light scent yet not really lasting too.

Does it give a matte finish?
(the main purpose of face powder works)

Yes, it is.
It gives me a natural sheer and dewy look with a matte finishing touch without looking cakey and traceless on my face. It virtually undetectable on my skin when applied but it does the job on my face. For lasting part.... erm.... I should say like other compact powder I tried, still tad oily after normal 4 to 5 hours in average. The product stated was longer lasting but it doesn't seem like what it's written. Perhaps different weather brings the different outcome. And also depends on different skin condition too.

Definitely worth a try at the counter, might not be for everyone but obviously Burberry is a luxury brand and the price will be a factor depending whether or not you purchase. Personally loving it! Will repurchase in future.
