[Food] the Roof Restaurant, Siam@Siam Design Hotel & Spa Bangkok

Sah Wah Dee Khaa❤

It's a #foodporn blog again. Like I mentioned quite some time ago, I went to Bangkok for attending Casio G-Shock Collector Thailand presented by Todd Piti and stayed at Siam@Siam Design Hotel where located at the center of prosperous Bangkok.

Siam@Siam Design Hotel has one of the most unique and fun interior I ever seen (will probably cover more about it next time). Besides that, they consists many delicious international cuisine from coffee break to Japanese express to relaxing bar and to fine dining, served with artistic flair for you to chill with.

It's a honor been invited by Siam@Siam Design Hotel's team for dinner at The Roof Restaurant with breathtaking 360° panoramic view of Bangkok. It's located at 25th floor overlooking the center  point liking the cosmopolitan business districts with skyscrapers in the east of Bangkok and the contrasting views of traditional Ratanakosin Island untainted by sky high towers. The Roof Restaurant also provides magnificent views of several architectural landmarks.

It is one of the most remarkable night in Bangkok. :)

This multi-level design restaurant provides every seat on the roof top experience with remarkable angles of Bangkok by night. Designed to accommodate private dining and various parties or functions of up to 180 seated guests, The Roof is also Thailand’s first stone grill alfresco restaurant.

Food is freshly cooked on volcanic stones which can retain the heat for a period of 20-minute cooking. With the inside temperature exceeding 400 degrees Celsius, customers will be able to cook the food by themselves and eat it right away, a chance to enjoy “Hot Stone Grill” for the first time.

Fine dining without wine is not consider as fine-dine anymore. Start of with red and white wine for chilling and chatty session with other bloggers, media and Siam@Siam Design Hotel's team. Have an amazing session with them. :)

Sourdough Bread with Butter
As a pre-appetizer, soft denser texture and hard at the outside always my favorite bread especially served together with salty butter. Seriously, I can eat this all alone lol.

Rossini Veloute (690 THB)
Combination of Foie gras at bottom with smoked Wagyu beef at top, then topping with black truffle and Mandeira oil. Love the combination of Foie gras with wagyu beef creates a layer of milky yet tender texture in one bite. One word! Devine!

Poached Brittany Blue Lobster with a Medley of Garden Vegetables (590 THB)
Poached lobster with bay scallops pairs with the freshness of vegetables dressing with kind of sweet hot sauces. I am not a salad person but with this combination, I definitely can eat everyday lol. It has get that perfect and harmony balance.

Chunksteak of Sable Fish Steamed (950 THB)
Steam Sable Fish served with Thyme, Black Olive Tapenade, Basil Chlorophyll and Vegetables Tian. Salthy Black Olive Tapenade brings out the freshness and the 'sweet' of the fish, yet soft and fragrance into mouth.

Orecchiette Duck Confit, Foie Gras and Black Truffle Sauce (820 THB)
Tender duck confit pairs with macaroni dressing with creamy Foie Gras and Black Truffle sauce. It's kinda reminds of carbonara but even luxury and yummy. Although is abit salty for me but the combination of everything in one bite makes me couldn't stop eating. Love this!

Warm Apple Pie Flambeed with Calvados (320 THB)
Warm Apple Pie Flambeed with Calvados served with Soft Chantilly and Vanilla Ice Cream. I like to describe this as a cake more than a pie and this dessert is very sweet but I like Calvados that helps to brings the sweetness to another level. :)

Blueberry and White Chocolate Mousse Crumble (320 THB)
Silky smooth white chocolate mousse dressing with blueberries and little crumble on top taste really good. The little tad bit tangy blueberries pairs with white chocolate mousse in one bite makes finish it up within 10 minutes. A simple yet elegance dessert.
