[Food] Basmathi Rice in Italian Food at Fuzio Bar and Ristorante

Bon appetite!

Eat is my life❤ I had a great pleasure of dining at the cozy lovely Italian restaurant called Fuzio Bar & Ristorante where located in the golden triangle of KL City, Jalan Berangan. I was there to try out the special menu by using Jasmine Puss Gold 1121 Basmathi Extra Long Rice instead of risotto. It was really interesting while also curious in a same on how Jasmine Basmathi Extra Long Rice blends into fine Italian cuisines to create a new traditional fusion Italian food. It must have been mind-blowing.

Jasmine Pusa Gold 1121 Basmathi Extra Long Rice

Jasmine Pusa Gold 1121 Basmathi Extra Long Rice is one of the longest grain rice in the world and also the hybrid varitey of Basmathi Rice that possess 100% purity, long grain, aromatic fragrance and non-sticky after cooking. The distinctive taste and enticing aroma has made Long Grain Pusa Basmathi Rice highly accalaimed in the national as well as international market. This grain is the top of the grade for Basmathi and is highly prized for its length and quality that yields aromatic, soft and fluffy rice.

We had tried 9 special menus from appetizer to main courses then to dessert making using by this Jasmine Basmathi Rice. I really can't imagine how rice gonna mixed up into sweet stuff, I even think of the super famous Turkey style of rice pudding lolololol (I neo it's kinda out of topic, haha).

Here's the menu of the day by using Jasmine Pusa Gold 1121 Basmathi Extra Long Rice:-

Appetizer
Arancini (Rice Ball)

Main Courses
Angus Beef Tenderloin
Braised Lamb Shank
Marinara in White Wine Sauce
Marinara in Tomato Base
Baked Cod Fish
Spring Chicken
Spicy Oxtail

Dessert
Mango Crisp

Arancini (Rice Balls)

Was severed with the simple appetizer appeared on table to kickstart our warm stomach, an Italian snack called Arancini (Rice Balls) where made by using Jasmine Basmathi Rice instead of risotto with yummy mozzarella cheese in the center served on tomato sauce with roasted cherry tomato. Arancini is coated in golden crumbs which made Arancini crispy on the outside.

Angus Beef Tenderloin

Then continue with the tender and juicy beef overloading, Angus Beef Tenderloin. Omo! My saliva starts leaking when writing while aslo recap back the taste of this meal lol. Medium rare of beautiful tender juicy pink beef slices topped with herb pesto and served with Lemongrass Scented Jasmine Basmathi Rice and Mushroom Cartoccio (cooked in a paper bag). I love how the all these blends into one, a slice of beef pairs with refreshing scented rice then dip with mushroom cartoccio, it gives me a soft hearty comfort note. This meal is devine!

 Braised Lamb Shank

Another favorite meal of the day because I love lamb so much! Using braised lamb shank served with red wine tomato sauce and Porcini Risotto Rice Pilaf made by Jasmine Basmathi Rice. In this meal, the rice is moist enough smoked deepen with rich porcini mushrooms then soak up the sauce, emanate the lamb flavor perfectly.

Marinara in White Wine Sauce

Steamed Basmathi Rice served with Marinara Seafood in White Wine Sauce.I love the sauce, mild enough yet remains the concentrated of white sauce. It's creates a nice aromatic refreshing scent. The sauce went pretty well with the rice. It's just pleasant!

Marinara in Tomato Base

Actually this is just same with top dish, the only different was in tomato base, also served with Steamed Basmathi Rice. Natural sweet flavor and scent of tomato sauce went well with seafood. Although this sauce is richer than white wine sauce but it even more brings out the sweetness of seafood. Depending on your personal preferences, either Marinara in White Wine Sauce or Marinara in Tomato Base. Mine was Marinara in White Wine Sauce.

Baked Cod Fish

When comes to fish dish, I will becomes very picky. Surprisingly, I love this dish. A fusion combination of Cod Fish baked with Teriyaki Sauce, chickpea, young papaya salad served with Jasmine Basmathi Rice. The not so sweet teriyaki sauce even brings out the scent and flavor of Cod Fish, the fish meat is tender and juicy while the skin was crisply done. Then the Jasmine Basmathi Rice is moist yet still remains fluffy.

Spring Chicken

It's not a normal spring chicken. There's a treasure inside the stomach, which is stuffed with risotto but replacing with the delectable Jasmine Basmathi Rice. The rice was smoked with the scent of chicken while been soaking up by the essence of the essence and Porcini Mushroom. It made the rice moist, soft and flavorful. Then the chicken glazed with brown marinade sauce (sorry, I can't recap back); the meat stayed tender and moist.

Spicy Oxtail

Spicy Oxtail Soup served with Lemongrass Scented Jasmine Basmathi Rice. Sicy Oxtail cooked in a light tomato base stew with a few dashed of spiciness. This spicy oxtail soup is rich, creamer and strong with flavor. I'm not a fans of this meal but I heard many good compliments from other and this dish was the fastest finished comparing with the others, lol.

Mango Crisp

Im'ma sucker with dessert! This mango crip just catch my heart very well. A slice of thick mango with sweetened Jasmine Basmathi Rice at bottom covered with crispy breadcrumbs served with berry sauce and Vanilla Gelato on top of a bed of nuts and a piece of strawberry. It's bring many layer of texture; crunchy, creamy and juicy. The sweetness of mango, the spring of rice in the bottom, the sweet sour berry sauce, the crispy of the skin and the creamy vanilla gelato. This combination is magnificent.

I was impressed on how Fuzio Bar & Ristorante using Jasmine Pusa Gold Basmathi Extra Long Rice to creates the uniqueness of Italian cuisine. It's totally an eye opening. Thank you for such of honor for me to tried it out. :)
